Comprehensive eye exams
Plan for dilationEvery exam has two parts. In the refraction, the doctor finds the prescription that gives you the sharpest vision. In the medical evaluation, the doctor checks your eye muscles, side vision and pupils, and examines the structures of each eye under a microscope.
A yellow-orange drop is used to measure eye pressure, which screens for glaucoma. Clear drops dilate your pupils so the doctor can see the back of the eye.
